Thoughtful planning for effective learning

Explore my approach to planning, guided by Ontario Ministry of Education guidelines for French-language schools. Discover how I emphasize identity construction, inclusive programming, and authentic engagement with French language and culture. These examples highlight how my planning fosters an engaging and effective learning environment.

Cross-curricular french immersion lessons

I am excited to share French Immersion cross-curricular lesson plans as well as Core & Immersion Elementary French lesson plans that support students in learning French and acquiring new vocabulary in meaningful ways. These plans demonstrate how I integrate language learning across subject areas while maintaining clear linguistic goals.

Accessible and engaging lesson design

All of my lesson plans are intentionally designed to assess and develop the four strands of the Ontario French as a Second Language Curriculum: A. Listening, B. Speaking, C. Reading, and D. Writing. Each learning experience is planned to support the integrated development of these skills rather than treating them in isolation, ensuring students engage with French in authentic and meaningful ways.

All lessons are designed to be differentiated, engaging, and accessible, using manipulatives, visuals, and hands-on activities to support comprehension and participation. I intentionally incorporate multiple means of expression, allowing students to demonstrate understanding through oral language, visuals, movement, and written responses. By combining clear structure with playful, interactive elements, these plans demonstrate how French learning can be both effective and enjoyable for diverse learners while remaining fully aligned with curriculum expectations.
